history

Siegburger studio theater was founded in January 1998, when Wolf Bongôrt by Roy (actually Wolf Bongort-Roy ; 1942-2006) his original 1987 Westphalia North-Rhine in Bergisch Gladbach , founded Theater College Bongort Roy (sometimes also spelled Theater College Bongôrt Roy ) to Siegburg relocated. The studio stage was run in the form of a private theater and served from the beginning as a training stage for the drama students at the private theater school operated by Bongort-von Roy, which was officially recognized as a so-called supplementary school.

The first piece to be performed in 1998 was Brechts Puntila and his servant Matti .

In 2004, Bongôrt von Roy and some of the teachers at his theater school moved to Leipzig to start  a new drama school, the Bongôrt-v. Theater school , at the off-theater he founded in 2001/2003 , the Theater-Fabrik-Sachsen . To bring Roy to life. As a result, his former student, the actor and director René Böttcher , took over both the drama school and the studio stage in November 2004, which he continued as the newly founded drama school in Siegburg and the studio stage in Siegburg . At the same time, Böttcher founded the children's and youth theater Theater Tollhaus . The Studiobühne Siegburg also received state recognition as a vocational school for performing stage arts and regularly trains actors.

The Siegburg studio stage offers space for up to 80 spectators, depending on the staging. The theater is played by professionals and drama students from the Siegburg drama school and thus has its own permanent ensemble. René Böttcher is responsible for the artistic direction of the studio stage.

The three institutions - the Siegburg Drama School, the Siegburg Studiobühne and the Tollhaus Theater - are supported by the registered association Theaterschatz e. V. whose board of directors is Böttcher. The sponsoring association is recognized as a non-profit organization and is based in Siegburg.
