The MG Magna , also F-Type , was a touring car or two-door sedan of the lower middle class that MG brought out in 1931.

The MG F1 Magna and MG F3 Magna had six-cylinder in-line engines with 1272 cm³, which were created from the four-cylinder engine of the MG M-Type Midget by adding two more cylinders. They developed 37.2 bhp (27.4 kW) and accelerated the vehicles up to 115 km / h.

The MG F2 Magna was offered as a roadster with the same technology a year later.

In 1933 the MG L1 Magna (tourer, sedan and coupé) and the MG L2 Magna (roadster) replaced the three models. In displacement, the engines were reduced to 1087 cm³, but made 41 bhp (30 kW). The new models reached top speeds of up to 120 km / h.

Abbey Coachworks in London produced sporty coupé and convertible bodies for the Magna chassis for several years on behalf of MG dealers.

In 1934 the series was discontinued without a successor.
