Products

mp-tec has specialized in products from the fields of photovoltaics , solar thermal energy and assembly systems, some of which are developed in-house. In the field of solar tracking systems, mp-tec has made a name for itself as a company with the in-house development of single-axis tracking systems. The system and its modules follow the position of the sun by means of rotating and tilting movements. Simulation measurements with the mp-tec "Skytrap plus" system showed that tracking can generate up to 36 percent more yield compared to rigidly aligned systems. The in-house Quick-Line assembly platform is the basis for solar carports as well as rooftop, facade and outdoor racks. The Quick-Line mounting system was the starting point for the largest solar carport in Germany to date. The 69 meter long, electricity-generating carport is located directly on the company premises in Eberswalde and serves as an employee parking space . In cooperation with the lamp manufacturer NARVA and NTS, mp-tec developed the vacuum tube collector VRK 12 premium.

In November 2006 the company received the East Brandenburg Future Prize , and one year later the Brandenburg Minister for Economic Affairs, Ulrich Junghanns, presented the 2007 Berlin-Brandenburg Innovation Prize to Managing Director Michael Preißel. Mp-tec was honored for its in-house development, the first hemispherical tracking system. In November 2008, the Eberswalde solar system provider received two awards: As “Selected Location 2009” of the German location initiative - Land of Ideas and as Brandenburger Company of the Year through the “Entrepreneur Award of the East German Savings Bank Association”.
