history

The Schramberg magnet factory was founded in 1963 as a manufacturer of hard ferrite magnets. The first products were sintered hard ferrite magnets, which were initially manufactured with three employees. Plastic-bonded and rare earth magnets have also been manufactured since 1985 . In 1992 the magnet factory takes over the production of assemblies for customers. From 2005 plastic parts complement the product range and in 2006 a production facility for micro injection molded parts is set up. On May 1, 2008, the Schramberg magnet factory changed its name to MS-Schramberg GmbH & Co. KG and the construction of a 9,000 square meter production plant began and was completed in 2009. As of 2010, MS Schramberg had three plants with a total area of ​​28,000 square meters. Approx. 5000 customer-specific articles are produced.

Business figures

While three employees generated around 23,000 euros with the first products in 1963, sales rose to around 84 million euros by 2012. In 2013, the year of the company's 50th anniversary, MS Schramberg reported a turnover of around 92 million euros with around 500 employees.

In 2018 a turnover of 109 million was achieved and the number of employees rose to approx. 600 employees.

Products

20 million parts are manufactured annually, including 700,000 ring magnet systems for automatic transmissions .
