The Mała Sucha Dolina , formed by glaciers in the Ice Age, is a valley in the Polish Western Tatras in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It is located in the municipality of Kościelisko in the powiat Tatrzański .
geography
The valley is a side valley of the Dolina Chochołowska .
etymology
The name can be translated as "small dry valley".
Flora and fauna
The valley lies below the tree line and is overgrown by coniferous forest. The valley is a retreat for numerous mammals and bird species.
climate
There is a high mountain climate in the valley.
history
At the entrance to the valley there is a grave of nine Poles who were shot by the Gestapo on December 27, 1939 . The shooting was one of the first executions in the Podhale .
