Technical specifications

The axis sequence of the MaK G 1205 is B'B '. It has an output of either 1,120 kW or 1,180 kW and, depending on the version, reaches a maximum speed of 60 km / h, 80 km / h or 100 km / h. The MaK G 1205 was built a total of 31 times between 1991 and 1995. Twelve of these went to the railway and ports (EH) in Duisburg. The largest foreign customer for the G 1205 was the Iranian steel company NISCO ( National Iranian Steel Company ), which bought six locomotives .

The last three locomotives were manufactured under the company name Siemens Rail Vehicle Technology (SFT).

Use in Scandinavia

Two of the locomotives built in 1995 went to Norway. SFT 1000898 became "DLL 33290" at Banverket , SFT 1000899 became "DLL 210". In 2010 it was taken over by the railway infrastructure company Infranord , who sold it to Hector Rail in June 2012 . There they are referred to as 942.001 and 002.

Further development for Belgium

Vossloh HLR 77 as SNCB 7781 in Venlo

A further development of the G 1205 was tailored for the needs of the Belgian State Railways (SNCB) . This is referred to as HLR 77. Between 1999 and 2005, a total of 170 locomotives were delivered to the SNCB. They are classified there as 7701 to 7870 (the 7869 and 7870 were delivered before the 7868). They are used in shunting and mainline service. The machines are equipped with a Belgian diesel engine with an output of 1150 kW. These locomotives were the first from MaK to be equipped with a comfort ladder (steps arranged over corners).
