Ma Lin (table tennis player, 1989)
Ma Lin ( Chinese 馬 麟 / 马 麟 , Pinyin Mǎ Lín ; born December 15, 1989 in Mudanjiang in Heilongjiang Province ) is a handicapped Chinese table tennis player . He is one of the world's best disabled players.
Ma Lin lost his right arm. Therefore, he starts in competitions for the disabled in competition classes 9-10. So far he has been world champion twice and Asian champion several times. In 2008 he took part in the Beijing Summer Paralympics . He won the silver medal in the individual and gold with the Chinese team.
In the world rankings for the disabled, it is number 1 (as of January 2008).
