Ma Te ( Chinese  馬特  /  马特 , Pinyin Mǎ Tè ; born January 10, 1994 in Harbin ) is a Chinese table tennis player .

Career

In 2010 he was accepted into the Chinese national team, but was only allowed to participate in international tournaments in 2014 due to strong Chinese competition.

Among other things, he was able to reach the semi-finals at the 2014 Youth World Cup and thus made it into the top 100 in the ITTF world rankings . He was also active in the Super League and was able to achieve 2nd place with his team Bayi Shandong .

Further appearances followed in 2017 at the Chinese National Games, where Ma met Ma Long in the quarter-finals . Here he failed with 1-4 despite a strong performance. In 2018 he took part more often in World Tour tournaments, including the Bulgaria Open, where he beat Liam Pitchford , who had previously eliminated world champion Ma Long and reached the semi-finals in the end.

At the Hong Kong Open, he failed in the group stage.
