Mabel's Blunder is a 1914 American silent film comedy directed by Mabel Normand .

Mabel works as a secretary in a company and is secretly engaged to Harry, the son of the company director. Harry's father in turn has his eye on Mabel. One day a strange woman appears in the office, who is greeted exuberantly by Harry. Mabel suspects her to be a rival. She swaps clothes with her brother, who works as a chauffeur and brings Harry an invitation to tea with Billy Bronx, and drives Harry and the strange woman to an appointment.
Meanwhile, Mabel's brother is mistaken for Mabel by Harry's father and is also invited to tea. On the drive to the café, Mabel's father tries to be intrusive, but Mabel's veiled brother is able to fend him off. At the end of the day, Mabel is initially mistaken for a man by the tea party and beaten when, as an alleged man, she comforts another woman. Finally the hoax becomes apparent and Mabel's brother is also exposed. It turns out in the end that the ominous woman is none other than Harry's sister.

The film was made under the working title The False Chaffeur . It was released in US cinemas on September 12, 1914 and became one of Mabel Normand's most popular films.
