The MacKay Peak is a snowy, pyramid-shaped and about 700 m high mountain on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises up between False Bay and the Charity Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1977 Captain Donald MacKay, skipper of sloop Sarah from a sealer fleet from New York City that operated in the waters around the South Shetland Islands between 1821 and 1822.
