Macabre is a death metal band from Chicago ( USA ), which calls their style of music "Murder Metal".
Band history
The band was formed in August 1985 in Chicago by "Corporate Death" (vocals, guitar), "Nefarious" (bass, vocals) and "Dennis The Menace" (drums). The line-up has not changed since then and, according to the band, there will never be such changes. Most of the songs deal with real serial and mass murderers with a lot of black humor , among other things they released a concept album about Jeffrey Dahmer in 2000 .
In addition to the mostly American serial killers, Germans are also used quite often as models, such as Fritz Haarmann , Peter Kürten , Joachim Kroll , Armin Meiwes or Peter Stump . In addition to various US and European tours, “Macabre” also played at the Wacken Open Air in 2002 and at the Obscene Extreme in 2003 and 2008 . In 2006 her first DVD, True Tales of Slaughter and Slaying, was released with a recording of a concert in Dordrecht .
