The Macchi MB1 or Macchitre (Eng .: “Macchi 3”, because of its three wheels) is a motor tricycle (also motor cart) designed by Ermanno Bazzochi and built from 1945 by Aeronautica Macchi , Italy . Bremach near Brescia also manufactured the same truck as Motocarro Bremach .

The Macchi MB1 was Aermacchi's first road vehicle and the only one until the Cigno scooter was launched in 1951. It had a driver's cab for two people and a tipping bed. The vehicle was mainly used for the transport of goods and people over short distances. The good driving comfort, which was due to the front wheel suspension derived from aircraft construction, made the barrow very popular. The suspension was the same as that of the aircraft carts. A four-stroke engine with 750 cm³ displacement, an output of 25 HP (18.4 kW) and naphtha as fuel propelled the car. The vehicle weighed 1175 kg empty. and had a payload of 1500 kg, which could be increased to 2500 kg with a trailer.

The Macchi MB1 was used for both civil and military purposes. The manufacturer installed a number of components in its military aircraft, which it adapted accordingly for the new purpose. The vehicle was easy to maintain and equipped with a wheel guard that could easily be removed for repairs. In 1957, the production of the Macchi MB1 was also transferred under license to Ing. Negri & CSpA , which also built the load cart in a smaller version with a maximum payload of 790 kg. The original version was converted to diesel operation in 1955 and received an engine with 1000 cm³ displacement. In the following years Harley-Davidson bought Aermacchi and marketed the products under the name Aermacchi-Harley-Davidson. In 1978 the company became part of the Cagiva brand . In 1971, the production of the hand truck was transferred to a small company called Fratelli BRENNA , which now sold it under the BREMACH (BREnna e MAcCHi) brand.

As soon as the Macchi MB1 was offered as Bremach, its classic, round lines were changed with the round headlights: the new version was more modern and angular and the headlights became rectangular. The Bremach was built until the end of the 1990s; then the project was sold cheaply to Aerdiesel in Vicenza .
