Machland cycle path

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Machland Cycle Path (also Machland Path) is a 20-kilometer-long Upper Austrian cycle path that runs through the Machland as an alternative route to the Danube Cycle Path .

description

The cycle path, signposted with the abbreviation of the Upper Austrian cycle path network R29, branches off from the Danube cycle path (R1) in Au an der Donau , first leads through the Naarn market in Machlande and then crosses the school center of the town of Perg . Alternatively, you can also choose a variant that leads across the southern part of the city and at the ASKÖ sports ground across the Naarn.

The two routes meet again at the hay bridge in the village of Kickenau and the cycle path follows the Naarn towards Mitterkirchen im Machland , where it joins the Danube cycle path a few kilometers east of the Wallsee-Mitterkirchen power station shortly after the Celtic village of Mitterkirchen .

Overall, the cycle path, which leads almost exclusively over asphalt stretches with little traffic, is described as easy and suitable for families with children.
