Machsor Vitry

The Machsor Vitry (also Machzor Vitry ) is a famous Machsor discovered by Samuel David Luzzatto after 1000, i.e. a compendium of the liturgy and the rite of Jewish worship on special holidays , supposedly compiled by a Simcha b. Samuel from Vitry in France ( Champagne ).

The work contains a collection of the piyutim and prayers for the individual feasts, combined with the relevant halachot , especially for the respective festival , but also Sabbath commandments , regulations on marriage, halachot for the shochet , etc.
