Macieira da Lixa is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Felgueiras . The community had 1961 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the communities Macieira da Lixa and Caramos were merged to form the new community União das Freguesias de Macieira da Lixa e Caramos . Macieira da Lixa is the seat of this newly formed community.
