After the political change in his home country, he published there in the quarterly Zeszyty Literackie (literary books). In Germany they were published by Akzente . The poet did not live to see the publication of his last two works in Poland and a planned edition in German. After years of illness, he committed suicide in Paris. He was there in the Père-Lachaise cemetery buried.
