Maciej Sulęcki (* 2. May 1989 in Warsaw ) is a Polish professional boxer in the light middleweight .

Amateur career

Sulęcki started boxing at the age of eleven and had played around 140 amateur fights by 2010. He was Polish cadet champion in 2004 and 2005, Polish junior champion in 2007, and bronze medalist in the Polish elite championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He was also a participant in the 2005 European Cadet Championships in Hungary and the 2009 EU Championships in Denmark .

Professional career

Under Andrzej Gmitruk, he switched to the professional camp in 2010 and won his debut on June 19, 2010 with a first-round knockout. His first major opponent was Jurij Nuschnenko (balance: 31-2), whom he defeated unanimously on points in June 2012. In November 2014 he beat Grzegorz Proksa (29-3) by technical knockout in the seventh round.

In 2015 and 2016 he won four fights in the United States , including in June 2016 by technical knockout against the previously undefeated Hugo Centeno junior (24-0).

On October 21, 2017, he boxed in a WBC World Championship eliminator against Jack Culcay-Keth (22-2) and won unanimously. Against Daniel Jacobs (33-2) he lost on April 28, 2018 unanimously on points.

On June 29, 2019, he lost in the fight for the WBO World Middleweight Championship on points against Demetrius Andrade (27-0).
