Maciek (born March 24, 1993 in Kwidzyn as Maciej Świętosławski ) is a singer, guitarist and songwriter from Hanover.

history

The Polish-born singer-songwriter Maciek came to Germany when he was twelve. His debut album Maciek was released in 2016 on the Hanover label Magic Mile Music. Maciek wrote the twelve English-language songs on the album together with Robin Mügge and recorded the songs together with Denis Stadermann (bass), Marvyn Korten (drums) and Vincent Heller (guitar).

In 2019 Maciek took part in the ninth season of the TV casting show The Voice of Germany . With his performance of the song Hey Ya! From Outkast , Maciek was able to convince the jurors Rea Garvey , Mark Forster and Sido in his blind audition to press their buzzers to enable him to advance. Maciek decided on Mark Forster's team and was able to prevail against his colleague Julian Mauro in the so-called "Battles" with the song I don't care by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber . Maciek's participation in the ninth season of The Voice of Germany ended after his performance of the song No One by Alicia Keys in the sing-offs (quarter finals).

In 2020 Maciek's single Passing Time was released on the Magic Mile Music label. The accompanying music video with the dancer Cara Rother was realized by André Schlechte.
