Macintosh II series

The Macintosh II series comprised Apple's most powerful computers from 1987 onwards , which were mainly used in the professional sector. The series comprised eight models. The first model, the Macintosh II, was introduced in 1987. In October 1992 the last models appeared: Macintosh IIvi and IIvx. The series ended with the cessation of production of the IIvx in October 1993. It was gradually replaced by the Macintosh Quadra series from 1992 . The computers were usually equipped with a Motorola 68030 , with the exception of the Macintosh II with a Motorola 68020 that was presented first .
