Mackenzie's land

Mackenzie's Land is a residential and commercial building on Main Street in the Scottish town of Inveraray . The house is located at the south end of the historic town center of Inveraray and south of the Arkland building line . Black's Land is the house to the north. Mackenzie's Land is located directly on the A83 , which connects the south of the region to the Kintyre Peninsula with the Central Belt . In 1966 Mackenzie's Land was included in the Scottish Monuments List in the highest category A.

The building was completed in 1775 and is therefore one of the oldest buildings in the planned city of Inveraray. Mackenzie's Land is built in the traditional style. An upper floor sits on the ground floor with three symmetrically arranged entrance doors. Eight lattice windows are distributed across the front. The building ends with a slate-covered gable roof . All facades are plastered using the traditional Harling technique. Business premises are set up in part of the ground floor.
