Madan Murlidhar Dulloo (born September 20, 1949 ) is a politician of the Mouvement Militant Mauricien from Mauritius , who was Foreign Minister in 1986, 1990 and between 2005 and 2008.

Life

Dulloo became chairman of the Pamplemousses - Rivière du Rempart district council in 1971 . In the election of December 20, 1976, he was elected for the first time as a candidate for the Mouvement Militant Mauricien as a member of the Legislative Assembly and represented in this or in the National Assembly that was established on March 12, 1992 through the establishment of the Republic of Mauritius until the election of 5. May 2010 constituency No.6 (Grand Baie / Poudre D'Or) for 34 years without interruption .

In 1986 he was appointed to a government for the first time and was initially foreign minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Anerood Jugnauth as successor to Anil Gayan . A short time later he became after a cabinet reshuffle from Satcam Boolell and then took over between 1986 and 1993 in the first Jugnauth government as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Resources. In the elections of July 3, 2005, the electoral alliance Alliance Sociale , which Dulloo had joined, won 49 percent of the vote and 42 of the 70 seats in the National Assembly, while the Mouvement Socialiste Militant (MSM) and Mouvement Militant Mauricien (MMM) previously ruling coalition of Prime Minister Paul Bérenger received 43 percent and 24 seats. On March 17, 2008, Dulloo was dismissed as foreign minister, after which Prime Minister Ramgoolam himself became acting foreign minister.
