The Israeli contribution to the Euro Vision Song Contest 2016 has been using the talent show HaKokhav HaBa L'Eirovizion , the Israeli version of Rising Star selected. The competition consisted of 15 shows that aired from December 5, 2015 to March 3, 2016. Hovi Star moved into the final of the show with his song Made of Stars and won it. A few days after the show ended, it was announced that Israel would compete in the Eurovision Song Contest with a new version of the song as the old one received too many negative reviews. This was finally published on March 13, 2016, including a music video, on the official Youtube channel of the Eurovision Song Contest.
