Madelein Svensson

Madelein Svensson (born July 20, 1969 in Sollefteå ) is a former Swedish walker .

She celebrated the greatest success of her career when she won the silver medal in the 10 km walk at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 . She reached the goal with an extremely narrow lead on the third-placed Sari Essayah , who was stopped at the same time with 43:13 min.

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , she finished sixth over 10 km. She also took part in the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Toronto in 1993 , where she was eighth over 3000 m.

Madelein Svensson was 1.68 m tall and had a competition weight of 52 kg.
