Madeleine Robinson

Madeleine Robinson (born November 5, 1916 in Paris , † August 1, 2004 in Lausanne , Switzerland ), actually Madeleine Svoboda , was a French actress. Between 1933 and 1993 she took part in a total of 79 films.

Born in Paris, Madeleine Robinson was the daughter of Slovak immigrants. The first film she starred in was Le mioche in 1936 , a melodrama by director Leonide Moguy . Towards the end of her career, she played the mother of Camille Claudel in the Bruno Nuytten film of the same name in 1988 . Her last role was in the drama The Seznec Affair , a two-part film adaptation of a sensational French judicial case from 1924. She ended her career in 1993.
