Madelene van Aardt

Madelene van Aardt (born Madelene Olivier ; born August 14, 1896 in Graaff-Reinet , South Africa ; † July 6, 1982 ) was a South African composer and teacher.

Life

Madelene van Aardt studied at Trinity College London and graduated with the Diploma Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL ). She later lived in Sommerset East . She was one of the few female composers who composed light music in the Afrikaans language .
