Madhur Mittal

Madhur Mittal ; Hindi मधुर मित्तल ; Urdu مدھر دوستتل (* 1987 in Agra ) is an Indian actor. He became known to a wide audience for his role as Salim Malik in the film Slumdog Millionaire (2008).

Life

Madhur attended Abhinav Degree College . He is currently studying acting at the University of Mumbai .

In 1997, Madhur Boogie Woogie won a popular show on Indian television. He moved to Mumbai with his family and worked as an actor and dancer. He joined the ensemble of Abhinav Vidya Mandir and performed in 950 dance shows worldwide. He also played as a child star in several Indian films such as One Two Ka Four , Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye and Say Salaam India .

Madhur Mittal's role in Slumdog Millionaire earned him worldwide attention. He prepared himself for his role as a criminal with environmental studies. As a preparation, director Danny Boyle is said to have recommended studying the Godfather film series .

In 2008, the film's ensemble was nominated for the Black Reel Award , a film prize that is actually only awarded to African-American actors. The ensemble won the Screen Actors Guild Award .

Mittal plays Anwar Razdan in the second season of the Indian series Kidnap and Ransom .
