Madingou is a city in the southwest of the Republic of the Congo . The capital of the Madingou district and the Bouenza department is located about 180 kilometers west of the state capital Brazzaville near the Niari River . At the 2012 census , Madingou had about 27,000 residents.
Madingou has a Congo-Ocean Railway station , which is why the city is connected to Brazzaville in the east and Pointe-Noire on the Atlantic Ocean .
