Madison Smartt Bell
Madison Smartt Bell (* 1957 in Nashville , Tennessee , USA ) is an American writer and professor of literature.
Life
Madison Smartt Bell studied literature at Princeton and then lived as a freelance writer in London and New York for several years. He has taught creative writing at various American universities, including the renowned Iowa Writers' Workshop and Johns Hopkins University , and is currently Professor of English Literature at Goucher College in Virginia. Madison Smartt Bell has published numerous novels since 1983.
He lives in Baltimore .
