The sculpture Madonna and Child in the Church of St-Martin in Marpent , a French commune in the northern department of the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 13th century. In 1896 the Romanesque sculpture was classified as a Monument historique .

The wooden sculpture is painted and gilded. Mary sits on a chair and holds the blessing baby Jesus with her left hand. Your scepter in your right hand has been lost.

During the restoration in 1980 a polychrome version was found under the painting of the 19th century.
