Mae Martin (born May 2, 1987 in Canada ) is a Canadian comedian and actress . Martin worked on the series Feel Good as a leading actress and writer. She has won two Canadian Comedy Awards as part of the comedy troupe The Young and the Useless . Mae Martin is a co-creator and actress on the Netflix series Feel Good.

Life

Martin's career began in Canada, where Mae starred in the comedy troupe The Young and the Useless . At the age of 16, Mae was the youngest nominee for the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award. In 2011 she moved to the UK .

She contributed to various programs on British television and radio. On the radio, she presents Mae Martin's Guide to Sexuality for the 21st Century on BBC Radio 4 and has contributed to The Now Show on the same station. Since 2018 she has also co-hosted the Radio 4 podcast GrownUpLand, which is aimed at a young audience. Martin has a 30 minute Netflix special as part of the show Comedians of the World.

At the beginning of 2020, the series Feel Good , which Martin helped to create and in which she plays the leading role, made her debut .
