geography

The Mae Nam Nakhon Nayok has its source in the Khao Yai National Park , about 120 kilometers northeast of Bangkok . On its way in a south-westerly direction, it joins the Mae Nam Prachin Buri at Amphoe Ban Sang ( Prachinburi Province ), which from then on is called Mae Nam Bang Pakong and finally flows into the Gulf of Thailand .

tourism

With the construction of the Khun Dan Prakarn Chon dam , the Nakhon-Nayok River will be supplied with a sufficient amount of water all year round. This means that various water sports activities are always possible. Rafting tours on the river are particularly popular .
