Magalys García

Magalys García ( Magalys García Leliebre; born October 23, 1971 in Songo - La Maya ) is a former Cuban heptathlete .

She won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1990 and bronze at the Pan American Games in Havana in 1991 .

In 1993 she won the Central American and Caribbean Games. In 1995 she won silver at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata and gave up at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg after he failed to make a valid attempt in the shot put .

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she came in 15th place.

In 1998 she defended her title at the Central American and Caribbean Games. The following year she won the Pan American Games in Winnipeg and was twelfth at the World Cup in Seville .

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, she was eleventh. At the end of her career, she won silver at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo.

She set her personal best of 6352 points on June 23, 1996 in Havana .
