After successes in the youth sector, including victories in their respective age groups in the FIS Schoolchildren's Cup and the Czech Republic Cup, Kotyzová has been competing in FIS and World Cup races since the 2012 season . In her first FIS races in Urnäsch in June 2012, she immediately achieved two podium places and also took third place on the podium in her first World Cup race, the slalom in Trieste on June 23rd. In World Cup races, she was among the top five eight times by the end of the season, with two second places in the giant slalom and two more podium places in the Dizin Super-G . In the overall World Cup, she finished fifth as the best Czech woman. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Burbach , Kotyzová narrowly missed the medal ranks twice as fourth in the slalom and in the Super-G. She was also sixth in the super combined and eighth in the giant slalom.
