Magersdorf is a district of Unterbodnitz in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

Magersdorf is hidden behind the 311 m high Sommerberg and the other hills around the village and Unterbodnitz. Via a local road you can reach the state road 1062 and the county road 115. This means that the residents of the village have a connection with the surrounding area. The hall of the municipality covers 555 ha.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document around 1400.

Around 1900 a bell tower was built in the churchless parish on the former poor house.

The rural area was also subject to expropriations from 1945 and collectivization of agriculture in the 1950s . After German reunification he found new forms of agricultural work.
