The Magnier Peaks ( French Pics Magnier ) comprise two otherwise nameless mountains on the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They loom on the Magnier Peninsula between Leroux Bay and Bigo Bay . The higher of the two reaches 1345 m .
They were discovered and named during the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Namesake is possibly a sponsor of this research trip. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names accepted Charcot's designation in 1954 in the English version.
