Magnus Buhlert (born January 13, 1967 in Bremen ) is a German politician ( FDP ). He was from 1992 to 1995 and 2007 to 2011 and has been a member of Bremen's citizenship again since 2015 .

education and profession

School and study

In 1986 he passed his Abitur in the grammar school department of the Delfter Strasse school center in Bremen - Huchting . He then completed his community service in the rescue service of the German Red Cross . From 1987 to 1994 he studied at the University of Bremen in the field of production technology from-engineering degree and graduated as. From 1996 to 1997 he obtained the Certificate in Management Leeds Metropolitan University at the University of Bremen .

In 2000 he received his doctorate in engineering. in the Faculty of Production Technology at the University of Bremen and in 2005 Dr. rer. nat. in the field of chemical synergetics at the University of Bremen.

Buhlert is married and has two children.

Buhlert has been a member of the FDP since 1984. Since 1986 he has been a member of the FDP district committee Bremen Links der Weser. From October 1987 to April 1992 he was a member of the Bremen-Huchting district council . From 1988 to 1991 and 1995 to 1996 he was state chairman of the Young Liberals Bremen and from July 1990 to April 1993 Deputy Federal Chairman of the Young Liberals. From 1992 to 2000 he was district chairman of the FDP Bremen Links der Weser and has been again since October 2010. From 1988 to 2000 and again from 2002 he is a member of the state board of the Bremen FDP, currently a member of the executive board. From 1995 to 1999, from August 2003 to April 2010, he was deputy state chairman of the FDP Bremen and has been again since June 2011.

The education politician is the deputy chairman of the FDP Federal Education Committee. He is also a member of the Hanoverian group of federal educational, liberal educational politicians.

Bremen citizenship

From April 1992 to June 1995 Buhlert was a member of the Bremen citizenship . In May 2007, as the top candidate of the FDP, he was able to return to the Bremen citizenship and was a member of the citizenship again in the 17th electoral period from 2007 to 2011. From 2007 to 2010 he was a member of the board of the Bremen citizenship. He was spokesman for the FDP in the citizenship for education, youth, social affairs, the environment, integration, budget and finance. In the 17th electoral term he was represented in the Budget and Finance Committee, the Audit Committee, the Petitions Committee, the Deputation for Education, the Youth Welfare Committee and the Deputation for Environment and Energy. In May 2015, the FDP succeeded in re-entering the Bremen citizenship. Buhlert was re-elected to the state parliament and deputy chairman of the faction of the Free Democrats in the Bremen citizenship. In 2015 he became a member (secretary) in the board of the citizenship. He is a member of the constitution and rules of procedure committee, the committee for science, media, data protection and freedom of information as well as the deputation for health and consumer protection and the deputation for social affairs, youth and integration.
