The medieval fortress Liinmaa was originally located on an island near the mouths of the Eurajoki and Lapinjoki rivers in the Baltic Sea, but today it has grown together with the mainland due to the land hub. Of architectural interest is the Vuojoki manor, which was built in Empire style in 1836 according to plans by Carl Ludwig Engel .

The Baltic island of Olkiluoto , which belongs to Eurajoki, is the location of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant with two of the four nuclear power plants in Finland, a third reactor is under construction. Their output covers around a fifth of the country's electricity consumption. The power plant complex also includes a nuclear repository .
