The Mahagnao (also Kasiboi or Casiboi ) is a 860 m high stratovolcano in the center of the island of Leyte in the Philippines .
The rock of the forested volcano is classified as andesite . The steep crater of the mountain is open to the south. Two lakes, the Malagsom and the Danao, lie on the southern flank of the mountain. The malagsom is filled with acidic green water. The Danao, on the other hand, is filled with fresh water, but there are hot springs on its south bank. An eruption of the Mahagnao is reported from 1895, but no further information is known about this activity of the volcano.
Around the Mahagnao was declared on February 3, 1998 to the nature park Mahagnao Volcano Natural Park , on an area of 6.35 km². The Leyte Mountain Trail leads from the nature park to Lake Danao, 40 kilometers away , across the highlands on the island of Leyte.
