May Văn Hòa
Mai Van Hoa (born June 1, 1927 in Hanoi , † May 14, 1971 in Saigon ) was a South Vietnamese table tennis player who won the Asian Cup several times .
Career
From 1950 to 1959 Mai Van Hoa was nominated seven times for world championships . Here his greatest success was winning the bronze medal in 1959 with the South Vietnamese team. In 1953 and 1954 he was individual Asian champion . In doubles he won the title in 1953 and 1957 with Tran Canh Duoc, in 1954 the duo came second. With the team he was Asian runner-up in 1953 and champion in 1957. At the Asian Games in 1958 he won doubles with Tran Canh Duoc and with the team.
In the ITTF world rankings Mai Van Hoa was eighth in the fall of 1957. His last known appearance was a tournament in September 1962 in Australia. After that he no longer appeared internationally.
