Maik Stief (born September 26, 1972 in Germany ) is a former German motorcycle racer .

The Dorstener Stief completed his first Grand Prix season in 1989 in the 80 cm³ class on a Casal . 1992 to 1995 and again from 1997 to 1999 he alternately competed on Aprilia , Honda or Yamaha machines in the next higher 125 cc class. In 1993 , Stief was 23rd overall with 21 points. The best individual result this season was fourth place at the Dutch TT in Assen . In the eight-liter class he was also German champion in 1995 and 1997 . Due to an incident in the run-out lap of the 1995 road championship race in Most , Czech Republic , in which Stief is said to have kicked his opponent Markus Ober off his motorcycle, Stief was suspended by the OMK from January 1 to June 30, 1996 .
