Maiken Nielsen
Maiken Nielsen (born March 4, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a German writer and journalist .
Life
Maiken Nielsen comes from a long-established family of pilots and captains from Övelgönne and is the granddaughter of the Hindenburg navigator Christian Nielsen. She was born in Hamburg and completed her school days there. She then studied at the University of Aix-en-Provence .
After graduating, Nielsen came back to Germany and settled in her hometown. Since 1996 she has been working as a journalist and broadcaster for Norddeutscher Rundfunk . Nielsen has a daughter and is married to producer and director Tom Ockers . The couple lives in Hamburg.
