The Milan court is a place in the Stuttgart European quarter .

Planning and construction

The square was created in the course of the development of the Europaviertel. The plans for the square come from the Dreiseitl office in Überlingen. It had prevailed against eleven competitors in a competition. The client was the state capital Stuttgart. The 5000 square meter square was created in 2014 and cost 1.75 million euros.

Development

The place is closed to vehicle traffic. Footpaths lead to the Stadtbibliothek and Budapester Platz tram stops . The wagonload road tunnel runs under part of the square .

Development

From the north-west to the east side, the square is surrounded by Milaneos buildings. The city ​​library on Mailänder Platz is on the south side . The tower on Mailänder Platz is to be built on the southwest corner .

There are 16 ash trees in the square . 80-meter-long water features are partly fed with rainwater from the roof of the Milaneo, which is collected and processed in a cistern under the square. The sculpture "Seated Reading" by the artist Fritz Nuss can be found on the square .
