The Main Bridge Dettelbach is a 359 m long bridge on Autobahn 3 .
The structure is located between the Biebelried motorway junction and the Kitzingen motorway junction. It spans the Main north of Kitzingen with five fields as well as the state road 2270 from Dettelbach to Kitzingen to the right of the Main . The highway has a 5000 m radius in the course of the bridge. In the elevation there is a rounded tub with a cross slope of 1.6%. The first overpass structure was built between 1961 and 1963. As part of the six-lane expansion of the motorway, a new bridge was built between 2000 and 2003.

Bridge from 2003
Due to the formation of cracks and major deformations, the first bridge had to be replaced by a new one prematurely as part of the six-lane expansion of the motorway. The cost was 19 million euros.

Manufacturing
The northern superstructure was built above the existing bridge in cantilever construction , with falsework in the peripheral areas . The traffic was then diverted to this and the first superstructure moved to its final position.
