Francine-Dominique Liechtenhan

Francine-Dominique Liechtenhan (in Russian  publications Франсина-Доминик Лиштенан ; born January 4, 1956 in Basel ) is a French historian, author and university lecturer.

Life

Francine-Dominique Liechtenhan studied French, Russian and Modern History at the University of Basel from 1975 to 1981 and worked as a research assistant at the Collège de France from 1984 to 1985 , first with Georges Blin , then with Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie . From 1986 to 1990 she was an assistant at the chair for French literature at the University of Basel, where she received her doctorate in 1988 with a thesis on Astolphe de Custine . From 1991 to 1997 Liechtenhan worked as a lecturer at the University of Paris III . In 1996 she received her habilitation. Since 2004 she has been researcher at the Center Roland Mousnier , of which she has been a member of the scientific council since 2006. She has also been a lecturer and member of the École doctorale at the University of Paris IV since 2006 . Since 2011 she has been research director at the Center national de la recherche scientifique . She also holds visiting professorships and other teaching assignments at other universities. In the 2013/2014 winter semester, Liechtenhan was a visiting professor at the Institute for Eastern European History at the University of Vienna . From 2015-2016 she was Vice-Rector of the Urals Federal University.

Awards

In 1997, Liechtenhan was awarded the prix Eugène Colas of the Académie française for her book La Russie entre en Europe . In 2009 she received an award from the 2006 founded and the city of St. Petersburg maintained Dmitri Likhachev- Foundation . In 2010 she received the Prix Auguste Gérard of the Institut de France. She has been a correspondent for the Academy of Sciences of Caen (Normandy) since 2011.
