Mairari

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mairari was Negus Negest ( Emperor ) of Ethiopia . According to some records, he was a member of the Zagwe dynasty . Little is known about his rule. EA Wallis Budge gives a period of 15 or 18 years and writes that Mairari died around 1308 . Other scholars, however, date the time of his death before Yekuno Amlak's accession to the throne in 1270 .
