World Boxing Union
The old World Boxing Union (WBU) was a boxing organization based in Upwell , Cambridgeshire , England that hosted official fights and awarded the WBU world championship titles in professional boxing. It was founded in January 1995 by its President, Jon W. Robinson .
The golden age of the WBU was from 1996-2006.
Due to complications, the WBU approved its last title fight in 2009 and was canceled.
On July 4, 2010, the WBU was re-founded as an association by Torsten Knille in Coppenbrügge , Hameln , Germany .
