Maison de l'Orfèvre in Troyes

The Maison de l'Orfèvre in Troyes , the administrative seat of the Aube department in the Grand Est region , was built between 1578 and 1618. The half-timbered house on 9 rue Champeaux (corner 10 rue Molé) has been classified as a Monument historique since 1961 .

history

The half-timbered house in the Renaissance style was built for the goldsmith François Roize and his wife Nicole Boulanger. The round tower on the corner of the house is supported by three beams on a base.
