Mait Riisman
Mait Augustowitsch Riisman ( Russian Майт Аугустович Рийсман * 23. September 1956 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ; † 17th May 2018 ) was a Soviet water polo player and Estonian - trainer .
Mait Riisman began his career in 1966. With the Soviet national water polo team, he won the gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow . Riisman was four times (1979 and 1985-1987) Soviet water polo champion. He initially belonged to Kalew Tallinn , started working for Moscow University in 1975, before joining Torpedo Moscow from 1983 to 1984 and finally for Dynamo Moscow .
In 1980 he was as Honored Master of Sports Award, the same year he completed his journalism -Studies at the Moscow State University from. From 1989 to 1991 he was the second coach of the Soviet national water polo team. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he worked from 1991 to 1996 as a sports coach for Racing Club de France in France and from 1996 to 2000 again as the second coach of the Russian national team in Moscow.
