Maja von Vogel

Maja von Vogel (* 1973 ) is a German author and translator for children and young people .

Life and accomplishments

Maja von Vogel grew up in Ahlhorn , Oldenburg and Lingen (Ems) as the oldest of three sisters. After High School on school Georgianum in Lingen she studied French and German in Munster , Paris and Göttingen and then completed a postgraduate course book studies at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich . From 1999 to 2002 she worked as an editor for a children's book publisher in Munich and eventually became a freelance author and translator. Today Maja von Vogel lives in Oldenburg.

She has published more than 60 books for children and young people as well as radio plays. Since 2006 she has been one of the main authors of the series “ Die Drei !!! “, The female competition of the series Die Drei ??? .
Her translation work includes, for example, Valérie Dayres Lilis Leben , which won the 2006 German Youth Literature Prize.
