Majda Širca
Majda Širca (born April 20, 1953 in Postojna ) is a Slovenian art historian, journalist and politician. In the Borut Pahor government , she was Slovenia's Minister of Culture from 2008 to 2011 as a member of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS).
After graduating in art history, she worked as a television journalist. From 1997 she was State Secretary at the Slovenian Ministry of Culture and since 2000 she has been a member of the Slovenian Parliament . On November 21, 2008 she was appointed Minister of Culture.
